If the tablets stop working
- Take the money. Write the amount and the party size on the paper form.
- Have them sign the paper waiver. Nobody throws without a signed form — this is the part that cannot be skipped for any reason.
- Photograph each form before handing it back or filing it.
- Key them in here as soon as there is signal again. The form's own date and time is what gets recorded, not the moment you type it.
Checking a party in and marking them done both keep working with no signal — they send themselves when the connection comes back. Cash sales, signing and refunds need a connection, so paper is the fallback for those.
Saved records are marked as keyed from paper and attributed to you. They count toward the day's cash like any other sale.
